560100 - SBB / Swiss Federal Railways Editors Pick! Contributor's Pick!
While the cows enjoy the afternoon sun a RBDe 560 commuter train passes in front of the mountain Luziensteig, which was a artillery fortress in WWII and during Cold War time with 4.14 in howitzer. On four levels inside the mountain, the fort system was operated by 160 men, which had a whole living system inside including hospital, own electricity generater and maintenance facilities. As Switzerland has no ocean, our "battleships" were made in hard rock.
