| The P class is a hood type Goninan-GE locomotive fitted with a low, full width short hood. They are equipped with a GE 7FDL-12 engine developing 2682 flywheel bhp 2000kw and delivering 2450hp 1830kW into their GE GMG191A1 main alternator. Six GE 761 F1 traction motors are fitted.
