| On Swiss double track lines usually trains are running on lefthand side (by origin of first etablished trains in UK and addapted by Switzerland). To improve flexibility allmost all double track lines can be used allthough on opposite direction. Therefore the left siding on the front has a safety point to derail a train in case he overrun the siding when signal is closed. |
