| Europe is the last continent without an automatic coupling system in rail freight transport. However, it could be the first continent with a digital automatic coupling system. After testing in Germany by DB Cargo and in Austria by RCA next tests were in March 2022 in Switzerland. Here, an extensive test program involved cold operation test in mountain winter condition, steep gradients of Gotthard summit and hump operation. |
