1994 AEG built this first unit, called 12X, of a new electrical engine generation. Numbered 128 001-5, it went through mergers and take over with Adtranz and now to Bombardier Transportation. The engine has a remarkable speed of 220 km/h and developed 6.400 kW. It runs under 15 kV 16,7 Hz AC systems only. Many technical innovation went into the Bombardier 145 type and later further on the proven TRAXX-family. It was stored at Bombardier Switzerland, where the picture was taken. Latest news: At July 8th 2010 the 128 001 was transfered to Berlin-Hennigsdorf back to the factory, where she was built. |

TRAXX P160 AC1: From 2003 to 2005, DB Regio ordered several small batches of Traxx locomotives, together with new rakes of double deck coaches, in order to upgrade regional services in several German Bundeslander (states). At that time the first generation Traxx locomotive platform was the basis for all products, including those equipped with the so called passenger-service package. In total 32 machines were ordered for 4 different regions, together forming the DB 146.1 series. 14 more machines were ordered at that time, but these were finally delivered as Traxx 2 platform machines, the designated DB 146.2 series. |

TRAXX F140 DC: E483 001 was built in Kassel and the very first Traxx 2E machine to be completed. It had its roll-out in August 2006 and it construction process was monitored by personnel from the Bombardier assembly site in Vado Ligure, Italy, for training purposes. All other E483 series locomotives are built in Vado Ligure, where an official roll-out was held on June 5th, 2007. TRAXX DC locomotives have been ordered for Italy and Spain. While these locomotives were developed specifically for freight services with a 3kV DC supply voltage, they also have all the components required for passenger services (train busbar, UIC equipment, etc.). From the construction point, the 483 is a MS-version, missing the AC-equipment. Therefore a extra ballast of 8t was buildt in! This E483 unit is now leased by DB Schenker Rail Italia Services Srl., Alessandria/Italy. |

It is unique that a four system electric for line voltage 15/25kV AC + 1,5/3kV DC (D/A/CH/I/NL) and a diesel-electric locomotive have 70 percent of their parts in common. This E186 just came out of the paintshop in her new livery of Railpool. The "E" designation is because of Italien certification rules, where a "186-number" wasn't allowed. |
