Album Info:60 years ago, the Ae 6/6 became the well known Gotthard locomotive of Swiss Railroad SBB. I had the chance to be on one of the last runs on December 13th, 2013 on a trip between the Zurich mainyard to Singen, a transferpoint in Germany between DB and SBB, and back. Unfortunately a day with fog. So this photostory is a farewell of a icon, the famous Gotthard locomotive of Switzerland. For about 20 years, beginning in the late 50ties, practically all heavy freight and passenger trains on the Gotthard route were hauled by this locomotive.
