The machines are built in the so-called last-mile version. Two additional diesel generators enable operation on non-electrified track sections. The diesel engines together develop a power of 360 kW. They are mainly required as a backup power source and for shunting service. With the fuel supply of the diesel engines, up to 100 kilometers / 62 miles at 20 kph / 12 mph can be covered, so that it is possible to continue driving in the event of a catenary voltage failure. |
